Ingredients
Method
- Dissolve the gelatin: In a heat-safe bowl, pour 1 cup boiling water over the gelatin powder. Stir for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
- Add liquids: Stir in ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka until well combined.
- Pour into cups: Carefully pour the mixture into 2-ounce plastic shot cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Chill to set: Refrigerate for 2–4 hours until firm.
- Serve: Garnish with whipped cream or fruit slices, if desired, and serve chilled.
Notes
- Storage: Store in the fridge for up to 7–10 days in covered cups or airtight containers.
- Substitutions: Replace vodka with rum, tequila, or flavored liqueurs. For non-alcoholic shots, use 1 cup cold juice or soda instead of water and vodka.
- Variations: Try layered shots by preparing multiple gelatin flavors and chilling each layer for 1–2 hours before adding the next.
- Serving Tip: Lightly grease cups with cooking spray for easy unmolding, or serve with small spoons.
- Safety: Label alcoholic shots clearly and keep away from children.
